Leicester City host Chelsea in the League Cup as N’Golo Kante returns to the King Power. Here you can find all of the information regarding the fixture ever that you’ll ever need!

Our Prediction: Leicester City 2-1 Burnley

Reasoning: Despite their shaky start to the season, Leicester have picked up plenty of steam in the past week, walking over Burnley 3 – 0 along with their midweek Champions League win over Belgian champions Club Brugge, also 3 – 0.

With a much changed side, we can really see the foxes’ strength in depth as former club record signing Ahmed Musa is set to be in the starting 11 along with Liverpool’s summer target Ben Chilwell and club veteran Andy King.

Chelsea had a tough game last friday as they were beaten 2  – 1 by Klopp’s Liverpool, the same Liverpool that beat Leicester 4 – 1.

Their fantastic start to the season hints at Chelsea being more interested in the league rather than the League Cup. With this being said, you’d expect a much weaker starting 11 in order to prepare for their clash with Arsenal at the weekend which I’m sure boss Antonio Conte will be more focused on.

Ranieri’s comments:

Taken from Leicester’s official website:

"“He (Nampalys Mendy) will start training with us and he is getting better but he is not ready yet. When a player comes back to me I want to watch him minimum one week or 10 days before making a decision.”"

"“I am thinking about him (Yohan Benalouane), he is ready. He made one or two matches with the Under-23s and he is ready.”"

Speaking of Kasper Schmeichel’s concussion which kept him out of Saturday’s clash with Burnley, Ranieri said:

"It is just precaution and for Saturday he won’t have a problem. He is good, much better but Zieler made a very good match so I will continue with him [on Tuesday]. I think he (Schmeichel) is ready for the weekend.”"
