Leicester: 3 Out-of-contract players the Foxes should sign

Time for another experienced maestro?
The last time a legend played for the Foxes was Esteban Cambiasso. The Argentine was the most decorated footballer of his nation in terms of bagging silverware. Such a locker room leader was always going to work as an influencer. The team looked up to him as the northern star. It was evident from City’s great escape the amount of motivation and belief such a legend brings along.
After Cambiasso left, City promised to bring in another champion, and it was Gökhan Inler. After a few games into the next season, City fans were disappointed with him, to say the least. He was not half as inspiring as Esteban was. Still, now the King Power Club’s promise of bringing in a veteran leader and a champion remains due.
The Bayern Munich legend, Franck Ribéry, went out of contract last night, parting ways with Fiorentina. The left-winger is available for a very cheap amount as he looks to play one or two more years in a reduced role. With City’s long list of injury problems, a champion like Ribéry could be a difference-making move.
Yes, he is 38 years old, and by no means he’s the same person that orchestrated Bayern’s left flank. Still, he is not bad by any means. Even at this age, he is quite a troublemaker for Serie A’s tough defense. He can be a leader, one who can lead and inspire City’s new generational squad.
