Fans have been pressuring Leicester City to sack Brendan Rodgers for around a year. Despite his efforts and the boards’ effort to back him, it seems like Rodgers can be sacked at any moment. Heading into the end of the summer transfer window, the Foxes currently sit in last place in the league with just one point. Heading into a run of games that includes or included Chelsea, Spurs, and Manchester United, it is potentially only a matter of time until Rodgers gets the sacking. Despite it almost being September, there are plenty of managerial candidates for the board to look at.
Sean Dyche to Leicester City?
There are arguably a couple of candidates who have bigger names or more impressive resumes. However, none of them fit the bill for what Leicester does quite like Sean Dyche. When you look at the East Midlands team you see two major issues that they need to tackle as quickly as possible. Firstly, we need a manager that can fix our defensive and set-piece issues. Secondly, we need a manager to help us survive a potential relegation battle. Please now select the underneath link to travel directly to page 2 of the article, thank you.

Dyche became the manager of Burnley in 2012. After two seasons with the team, he got them promoted to the Premier League. Despite getting relegated in his first Premier League season, Dyche would get them promoted again the next season and they never saw Championship football while he was there. The Clarets even competed in the Europa League in 2018.
Dyche’s Burnley teams were known for the defensive style of play. Though Leicester City would hopefully not play as defensively, Dyche would be able to address our defensive issues. Set-pieces would hopefully be addressed finally and he’d get the most out of Evans, Soyuncu, and Amartey. With the LCFC signing young defender Wout Faes, Dyche would help out his development significantly.
Mauricio Pochettino
Probably the biggest name we could realistically bring in, Pochettino is a very successful manager. Despite the lack of trophies won, Pochettino has won 292 of his 598 matches coached, giving him a 48.83 per cent win percentage. Pochettino has managed two clubs in England and he most recently was in charge of Paris Saint-Germain. Pochettino first took charge of Southampton six months after they were promoted to the Premier League. He was able to help that squad finish 14th in the league and not get relegated.

The following season, Southampton would end up finishing eighth in the league. This was enough to impress Tottenham Hotspurs and they brought him in the following summer for his most successful run as a manager.
Pochettino plays a high pressing, attacking style of football. This would benefit players like Jamie Vardy, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and Wilfred Ndidi. His 4231 or 433 formations would work out very well for the team. Pochettino has managed some of the biggest names in the game. He would definitely get the most out of our players.
Marcelo Bielsa
By far the most experienced on the list, Marcelo Bielsa first started his managing career when he became the Newell’s old boys manager in 1991. Ever since that Bielsa has had runs managing Argentina & Chile’s national teams and Atheltic Club. Bielsa is known for his most recent run with Leeds. He first started with the team with 2018. After two seasons he was able to bring Leeds to the Premier League.
They would get off to a cracking start as they finished ninth in the league their first season up. An unfortunate runs with injuries and form lead to Bielsa getting sacked during the following season. He is too good of a manager for Leicester to not look at. Bielsa’s teachings have produced some of the best technicians to grace the game. Just imagine what he could do with James Maddison. His pressing style would certainly benefit our midfielders and defensive line.
