With the January transfer window opening up, Leicester City has to make some transfers. Nine foxes are currently out with injury; three of those being fullbacks. Brendan Rodgers’ side currently sits 13th in the league. However, they’re just two points away from a relegation spot. This team desperately needs a spark in this transfer window. The great news is LCFC is linked to a plethora of players. One of those players is 20 year old fullback, Victor Kristiansen.
The Danish fullback currently plays for FC København. He made his debut for the squad at 17 years old. Kristiansen signed his professional contract at the age of 18. Just two years later he is looking to make a gigantic jump to the Premier League, which he believes he’s ready for. When asked about the transfer rumors, Kristiansen said, “But yes, I feel ready for it all. I’ve played in the Champions League, won the championship, and been a key figure for FCK, so I feel I’m ready for whatever comes next.”
With a rumored transfer value of €8million, this is a very realistic transfer for the Foxes. Before he makes his potential transfer, here are three things you need to know about LCFC target Victor Kristiansen.

1: Victor Kristiansen pros and cons
Despite mainly being a fullback, Kristiansen provides versatility to the Leicester City squad. The Danish youngster can play fullback and up in the wide midfield area. Both of those are Leicester’s weakest areas. Kristiansen is a great defender who is already great in one on one situations. He is also great on the attacking end. In the Champions League this season, Kristiansen created four chances and completed 173 successful passes. He has had seven assists throughout his career.
Kristiansen has shown great durability for his young age. He has played in 72 games throughout all competitions and has impressed in all games. These 72 games include appearances for the Denmark national squad. Where the fullback struggles is in the air. The 5’9” fullback tends to get beaten in aerial duals. Besides that, the left-footed fullback has been strong in most areas.
2: Despite his young age, he provides European experience
At just 20 years old, Kristiansen provides more European experience than a lot of the Leicester City squad. FC København was in the Champions League this season. Their group included Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla F.C. Kristiansen started in five games and subbed on in the other. In his six appearances, he was impressive. He was successful on 88% of his tackle attempts and he completed 80% of his passes.

Last season, FC København competed in the Europa Conference League where they were successful. They were able to win Group F with 15 points. They were then matched up against PSV which was a shootout in the two games they played. Their first game ended in a 4-4 draw. The young fullback would make six appearances in this tournament.
3: He would be the sixth-ever Danish to wear the Leicester City kit
If Kristiansen were to be signed by the East Midlands team, he would be the sixth-ever Danish international to put on the Leicester City kit. Kasper Schmeichel is by far the most successful Danish player to play for Leicester City. His 479 competitive appearances are the third most in Leicester City history. Kristiansen will look to be in the same category as him compared to the other Danish foxes.
Tommy Christensen was the first ever Danish fox when he arrived on the team in 1985. He would make just two appearances with the side where he recorded one assist. 17 years later, LCFC would sign Jacob Laursen. The defender would make 10 appearances in a Leicester kit. He was most known for his time with Derby County. Goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen would sign in the summer of 2007 where he would make zero appearances with the squad before being sold the following summer. The most recent signing was defender Jannik Vestergaard who joined the team last summer.
