A relegation-esque performance was displayed by Leicester City in a 5-3 defeat away at Fulham on Monday afternoon. Despite a late fightback from the Foxes, they were unable to overcome an abhorrent first half performance which saw themselves 3-0 down at Craven Cottage. Here are Foxes of Leicester’s player ratings for the contest.
Leicester City starting XI scores
Daniel Iversen: 1
As exceptional as his shot-stopping was in the 2-2 draw with Everton last week, his error for the first goal was so inexcusable that it almost offsets his prior displays. Set the game up with little to no hope for the Foxes.
Timothy Castagne: 2
Did relatively well in his role for the first goal, that is really the only positive from his performance frankly, allowed Willian to cut inside onto his favoured right whenever he pleased. Simply poor.
Wout Faes: 2
Although he may not have been the worst out there today and perhaps some may feel that a score that low is being hyper critical but with the collective effort being so poor, it would feel extremely false to give anyone part of that first half disaster a higher score. I suppose what you could say is that he wasn’t the worst out there, but that’s about it.
Caglar Soynucu: 2
You can make the argument that for both the second and third goal that City conceded, the soon-to-be Atletico Madrid player could have done much better. The first playing Vinicius onside and the second being sold extremely easily with Tom Cairney’s initial dummy. Also didn’t cover himself in his individual battles either.

Victor Kristiansen: 1
Offered nothing going forward as well as looking completely lost defensively time and time again.
Boubarkary Soumare: 2
At times showed competency when carrying the ball as well as showing some press resistance. However, his defensive positional sense was poor throughout the game and also got caught on the ball on numerous occasions.
Youri Tielemans: 1
His lack of athleticism was on full display once again. His distribution was remarkably inconsistent. Taken off the pitch 15 minutes later than he should have. An abysmal performance.
Dennis Praet: 2
Non-existent in the first period like the rest of the midfield. It may be quite harsh to judge Praet on the shambles that was the structural set-up of the midfield. However he was still a cog within said shambles.
James Maddison: 3
Completely ineffective for the majority of the game, certainly looked the best LCFC player on the pitch. But in a game like this, that statement means less than nothing. Having your best period in the game when the contest is practically over isn’t something to write home about. Even with the goal from the penalty that he did win. As far as effecting the end result, he did not.
Harvey Barnes: 3
Took his first goal extremely well, other than that little to no effect on the game. Not necessarily due to any fault of his own, considering the capitulation at the other end of the pitch.

Jamie Vardy: 3
Despite doing so well to win the initial penalty, his execution of said penalty was a lot to be desired. A player who over the last few weeks has been much improved, today wasn’t his best but like the odd few he cant be blamed for the disaster that happened in his own goal.
Substitutes:
Tete: 5
By far the most positive and encouraging display on the field. His dropping deep to aid build-up play was great while his attacking wing-play was excellent. Hopefully he showed to Dean Smith he should be a nailed on starter for the game against Liverpool in a weeks time.
Wilfred Ndidi: 2
It does seem that the Ndidi of old no longer exists, his lack of a defensive impact is now extremely worrying to the point where he is a constant net-negative whenever he is on the field. It is a real shame to witness such a decline in what was one of the leagues best holding midfielders.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall: 5
Very assured in the limited minutes he featured, provided real athleticism and ball carrying ability something that the midfield was severely lacking before he entered the game.
Patson Daka: 5
Reacted well for the third Leicester goal after the error by Shane Duffy. But other than that had very little time or opportunity to impact the game.
Luke Thomas: 5
Coming on at that point in the game in that situation having an impact would of been extremely difficult, thus the default five is given.
