Leicester City and Manchester United face off in the opening match of the upcoming English football season and there are certain to be some great individual battles that will make or break the game for one of the two sides.

In their last four matches Leicester City and Manchester United are even with a win and loss to each side and two draws. The last league meetings between the two go all the way back to 2003-04 when the Red Devils took both matches.

However, this is a rare match where there is more riding on the performance of each side than many may give it significance.

For Leicester City a win makes their title defense look likely, a loss and the doubters are going to be having a hay day with the negative press around the Foxes.

In the Manchester United camp, Jose Mourinho and his summer recruits will be looking to lay down a marker of intent for the coming campaign as the hype of the Red Devils being title favorites has already began.

With all eyes set on the Foxes and Red Devils at Wembley this weekend, lets take a look some of the key battles that are expected to unfold.
