Leicester City: Foxes chasing Sevilla midfielder Steven Nzonzi
Leicester City are still working to rebuild their defensive midfield and could make a move for former Blackburn and Stoke City midfielder Steven N’Zonzi.
The loss of N’Golo Kante to Chelsea this summer has been a major blow to the Leicester City midfield.
Claudio Ranieri already brought in defensive midfielder and former charge from his AS Monaco days, Nampalys Mendy, but he left his first competitive match for the Foxes with an ankle injury this past weekend.
After one season in Spain and a UEFA Europa League title to his name, Steven N’Zonzi is believed to be the target of a £25 million inquiry for Ranieri as he looks to keep bolstering his midfield.
N’Zonzi would bring some much needed European competitive experience and he already understands the pace of the Premier League and should hit the ground running.

According to the Telegraph, N’Zonzi is looking to return to England after one season abroad and it is likely that his could be the best opportunity for him to personally cash in as well.
At the age of 27, there are not likely to be many more chances for N’Zonzi to try and secure a hefty first team wage on a long-term contract with guaranteed Champions League football for the coming season.
He most certainly has the European football chance with Sevilla, but it is not likely that he will see a chance to gain a more lucrative contract than most Premier League sides can afford.
Additionally, N’Zonzi would almost be nailed on to walk into the first team at the moment and even if he has to split time with Mendy throughout the season could still see around 30 plus appearances.
With four fronts to compete on this season, Ranieri would be wise to continue to add some experienced depth to his side and keep setting up a platform to have a true 23 man first team of bright talent.
