After narrowly missing out on making the Euro 2016 squad under Roy Hodgson, Drinkwater will have a point to prove.
He’s coming off of the back of a title winning season with Leicester City and as he has continued his form, ‘Big Sam’ see’s him fit for his return to the England set up.
Drinkwater received the ‘Man of The Match’ reward during his debut vs Holland but this apparently wasn’t enough for Roy Hodgson and subsequently dropped him from the squad before the Euro 2016, making way for Ross Barkley to travel to France.
