Leicester City Transfer Rumors: Foxes Target Juraj Kucka of AC Milan
Leicester City have had their problems in defense this season and Claudio Ranieri hopes to address them with the purchase of Juraj Kucka from AC Milan
The Foxes’ Champions League campaign has gotten off to a flying start with two wins in two matches but the same cannot be said about their Premier League form. The defending champions have been humbled by two sides that they beat last season in Liverpool and Manchester United and even lost to the newly promoted Hull City on opening day.
Much has been written and said about their defense but the simple reality is that they are just not as good as they were last season at the back when they would string together clean sheets like it was nobody’s business. This season they have leaked goals at an alarming rate and manager Clauido Ranieri needs to address those holes quickly.
The rumor mill suggests that Ranieri will be addressing those holes with the Slovakian international Juraj Kucka in the January transfer window. According to The Express, Leicester will come to AC Milan with a £8.6 million offer and the Rossoneri will “take the opportunity to cash in on the 29-year-old”.

Kucka is a defensive midfielder who has been plying his trade in Serie A since 2011 but has been with Milan since 2015, scoring one goal in 30 league appearances.
He is also a full senior international for Slovakia and has made 51 appearances for his country since 2008, including a few appearances in Euro 2016 in France.
Leicester City have struggled to fully replace N’Golo Kante who departed to Chelsea FC in a big-money move over the summer and many point to their weakness in defensive midfield as a reason for their defensive struggles.
They could also be attributed to Wes Morgan and Robert Huth finally showing signs of their advanced age but that has not been the case in the Champions League.
The Foxes have spent smartly this summer and new signings Ahmed Musa and Islam Slimani have done well to justify their fees and Kucka could very well be their latest bargain signing. There is nothing concrete to suggest that this is more than just a rumor at this point but the Foxes will need to add some cover to an already thin defensive midfield and Kucka could be the answer.
