Leicester City v Southampton: European action to dictate lineup changes

Leicester City play host to Southampton on the back of a taxing midweek European night against FC Porto at the King Power.

Leicester won a much deserved three points against the Portuguese giants in the UEFA Champions League, but now they must get their minds once more wrapped around the Premier League.

The Foxes are expected to see several first team changes as the likes of Jamie Vardy and several others were run close to ragged by the end of the Porto affair and could use a bit of a rest.

Demari Gray, Danny Simpson and Shinji Okazaki could all likely make a return to the first team while Nampalys Mendy remains injured and will not be able to face his former boss Claude Puel since his appointment at Southampton.

three games in making him a quick fan favorite and Nathan Redmond continues to put in strong performances up top.

Claudio Ranieri’s side looked much better against Porto than they did against Manchester United, they were much tighter at the back and will be looking to take those learnings into the next round of the Premier League.

The hosts will be hoping that their home form will see them continue their strong performances at the King Power while Southampton are looking to keep their recent streak of points winning going.
