SAITAMA, JAPAN – OCTOBER 06: Shinji Okazaki of Japan /

Shinji Okazaki

Shinji Okazaki has traveled home to Japan during this international break and played against Iraq last night.

Sadly for Leicester City and Japan fans alike, he was withdrawn from the game in the 75th minute following a suspected ankle injury.

The Leicester Mercury are now reporting that he has missed the latest training session with Japan however the injury is not thought to be serious.

Shinji is set to travel over 20,000 miles during the break as Japan travel to face Australia on Tuesday before he flies home to face Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday.

Commended for his work-rate, even Okazaki must admit to being fatigued and nobody will have complaints towards Claudio Ranieri should he elect to rest the Japanese international.
