His hard work this season has earned him a reason to stay and he has agreed a new contract

More from Foxes of Leicester

keeping him at the King Power Stadium until June of 2019.

Fuchs has been one of the standouts for the side this season even as the club have stop started for most of the campaign thus far with several man of the match performances include a handful of goals and assists.

The 30-year-old defender has made 45 appearances for the Foxes since his career in England started and he will look to make many more before he is done.

In a recent interview with LCFC TV he claimed that, “Nobody expected what we achieved so far and I think there’s still a lot to come.”

After a promising midweek victory over FC Copenhagen, Leicester City are now on the brink of guaranteeing a place in the UEFA Champions League knockout stages.

But before they can punch their ticket in another fortnight, the Foxes will play host to Crystal Palace at the weekend.

Palace have gotten the better of Leicester in their last three meetings and Fuchs will need to be on his best form when he likely faces off against Wilfried Zaha, of course a new three-year contract ought to be motivation enough.
