Leicester City got their Premier League season back on track with a thumping home win against Crystal Palace on Saturday at the King Power Stadium.

In what was an impressive display of most of the best qualities of Claudio Ranieri’s Leicester City, the Foxes managed to shake their recent poor run against Crystal Palace as their took their first full three points against the Eagles in four matches.

Ahmed Musa opened the scoring for the hosts not long before half time and goals from Shinji Okazaki and Christian Fuchs helped to make the decision an reality.

Yohan Cabaye managed to pull one back for the visitors late on, but it was too little too late for the visitors from London.

All in all it was a match where Leicester took the majority of their chances while Palace fell victim to their own lack of capitalizing on chances that could have made the difference in the match.

Following the final whistle, Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew was gracious with his words in defeat as he spoke highly of his opponents, but had stern criticism for his own side to the press:

"“The scoreline wasn’t a fair reflection. We had a great start, hit the bar and that could have changed the course of the game. But then they cranked it up for the last 20 minutes of the first half and we struggled to hold onto them. “"

It was in those 20 minutes that Musa was able to break his duck for the Foxes and started to really hit his stride and it looked at that point that the hosts could take the most advantage of the match.

The second half saw Palace continue to shoot themselves in the foot as they failed to make good on their opportunities:

"“The second half we had loads of chances but failed to capitalise. We were okay today but their pace and power were too much for us at the end. They are champions for a reason. We had good commitment to the game but the final moments just let us down. Our quality in the final third let us down.I had warned my players that after they faced Chelsea, we were going to be up against a charged team but they have come up against a good Palace side today.”"

Leicester now will be getting ready to face off agaisnt Tottenham at White Hart Lane while Palace will be hosting Liverpool.
