Leicester City remain in desperate need of a midfield holding player to support the attack and are still searching despite their summer spending spree.

This summer Leicester purchase Nice midfield Nampalys Mendy in hopes that he was going to be a ready made replacement for N’Golo Kante.

However, having sold their former charge to Chelsea and Mendy having been involved long enough to start a frustrating injury run, the Foxes remain in a desperate spot in need of another signing in January from the looks of it.

According to reports from the Mirror, the Foxes are chasing German Bundesliga midfielder Naby

More from Foxes of Leicester

Keita currently of Red Bull Leipzig.

Although the Guinea international is not expected to be a complete like for like replacement for the departed Kante, he is believed to be more likely to also pitch in on the attacking front.

Leipzig have had a great start to the German Bundesliga and it would take a strong offer to see Keita be allowed to leave, but Leicester are in a position where they need to make some movement to help get their depth in check with all of their opposition.

Keita is still under contract for another three and a half years with his new side after having moved to German this summer and there is nothing that would make him need to move unless his desire for action in a competition such as the Premier League sees him submit for a move.
