Leicester City took their first away point of the season on Saturday when they had traveled to London to face last year’s runners up, Tottenham.

Following the first half the visitors had almost gotten into the midway point without conceding, but a foul from Leicester defender Robert Huth on Tottenham’s Vincent Janssen gave Spurs a penalty and a chance to break the dead lock.

Despite the frustration at the end of the first half, Leicester came back out of the locker room with their head held high and their determination to make something happen came to fruition moments after returning to action.

A second goal in two games for Ahmed Musa saw the Foxes draw level at one all and that would remain the scoreline for the duration remaining.

Following the match speaking to LCFC TV, defender Danny Simpson believed his teammates reacted just as they should to going a goal down as they never gave up:

We knew they probably wanted to get a bit of revenge given how the season went last season.”"

It was important to see such a reaction as the squad have not been at their best when away from home to say the least and Simpson was happy to see himself and his team not get upset to be down away from home yet again:

"“Today (Saturday), the positive was our reaction to going 1-0 down, where in recent away games we’ve gone 1-0 down and let our heads drop a little – we carried on doing what Leicester do.Their goal gave us an edge to keep fighting and there’s no better time to get a goal back than just after half-time – that kicked us on for the rest of the game.”"

Leicester now prepare to travel to Denmark as they face off against FC Copenhagen for the second time in a fortnight and will be looking for a victory to guarantee their place in the round of 16 in the UEFA Champions League.
