Leicester City are demanding over £10m for Leonardo Ulloa as the Argentine looks to be on the move in the January transfer window.

At 30 years old, Leicester City’s Leonardo Ulloa will be looking to get as much game time under his belt as he can whilst he still has the legs for top flight football. Unluckily for the Argentine, he’s fallen down the pecking order in Claudio Ranieri’s squad.

Ulloa moved to Leicester City during Nigel Pearson’s reign as Leicester boss, the then club transfer-record breaking signing cost the foxes £8.7m.

After leaving Brighton for the East Midlands, Ulloa has scored 17 goals in 73 games in the Premier League and has gone from the Championship with ‘The Seagulls’ to the Champions League with the foxes.

Despite his meteoric rise, Ulloa has fallen out of favour with boss Claudio Ranieri and finds himself behind Jamie Vardy, Islam Slimani, Shinji Okazaki and Ahmed Musa in the bosses pecking order.

Ulloa’s previous role in the side was to be put up front as a target man however with the summer signing of Islam Slimani, his is in doubts.

Despite his exclusion from the Leicester squad, Leonardo has Premier League clubs fighting for his signature with both Sunderland and Swansea looking to put in bids this winter.

With bids coming in at a reported £9m, it is being reported by The Telegraph that the Leicester board are unwilling to sell as they want to turn a sizeable profit on the Argentine. After all, he is a Premier League winning striker.

As a result of this, Leicester are looking for sums upwards of £10m before they think about selling the target-man.

No matter how much Leicester sell Ulloa for, his impact on the foxes over the past two years will be unmeasurable, unlike the earthquake caused by his last minute goal against Norwich.
