Leicester City may have had a rough start to their domestic campaign, but the knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League beckons with victory.

Leicester City have a chance to put another notch in their history books against Bruges as a victory would mean they are guaranteed a place in the UEFA Champions League knockout stage of 16.

It would be an achievement worthy of praise as it would be their first knockout stage appearance, their first Group winning group stage and all in their first ever UEFA Champions League campaign.

Manchester City would have wished they could have been like that their first season of breaking into the modern elite several years ago.

The hosts will still have several injury issues to deal with as Kasper Schmeichel is still ruled out along with long time injured Nempalys Mendy.

More from Foxes of Leicester

Ben Chilwell also is unavailable to the first time while Islam Slimani is still nursing a knock back to health.

A yellow card one-match ban for Ruud Vormer will see him miss the match for Bruges while Lior Refaelov and Abdoulaye Diaby are both doubts for the visitors as they look to take a three point upset off of the hosts at the King Power in front of their own fans.

Their last meeting saw the Foxes secure a 0-3 victory and their perhaps easiest match of the group stage and the visitors will be hoping to return the favor in England.

Bruges are still yet to win in their group and a loss will all but guarantee their drop from both the Champions League and ruin any chances of an outside qualification to drop into the next round of the UEFA Europa League.
