Leicester City vs Club Brugge: Can the foxes clinch top place in Group G?
By Jake Cursley
Tomorrow night will see Leicester City host Club Brugge at the King Power Stadium in their final home game of the group stages of the Champions League.
Our Prediction: Leicester City 2 – 0 Club Brugge

Reasoning: Leicester City will host Club Brugge just 3 days after traveling south to Vicarage Road where they lost 2 – 1 at the hands of Watford.
Their poor league form should point towards the foxes struggling in Europe however recent history tells another story.

Leicester have been struggling in the Premier League this season, suffering from a title winning hangover, an illness that the Premier League’s top clubs will be all too familiar with seeing as the title hasn’t been retained since 2008/09 when Manchester United beat rivals Liverpool to the silverware.
Their poor domestic form hasn’t stopped their Champions League ambitions however, with Leicester remaining the only side in the competition yet to conceded a goal.
In contrast, Club Brugge have only scored 1 goal in their 4 games so far, whilst conceding 10.
Leicester currently sit on top of Group G after picking up 10 points and are 3 points ahead of the group’s favourites FC Porto.
Foxes fans will have to wait another week until they see their club record signing Islam Slimani back on the pitch.
Due to his minor groin injury, Islam has seen another setback which ruled him out of this weekend’s fixture against Watford.
All eyes will be on Jamie Vardy who will be relied upon as the main goalscoring threat, most likely alongside Ahmed Musa and Riyad Mahrez on the wings.
Due to Slimani’s injury, the game is unlikely going to be the goal-fest fans hope for.
Instead, Claudio Ranieri will be looking for his men to clinch a first half goal and will be relying on Leicester’s strong defence in Europe to carry them through.
With Club Brugge wanting to push for a goal late on, with them still having the opportunity to clinch a Europa League spot from Copenhagen, the pace on the break that Leicester fans will be all too familiar with may see some second half goals.
