Leicester City: UCL Ratings following Club Brugge and qualification
While the Premier League results are not going their way, Leicester City march on in the UEFA Champions League with another victory.
Leicester City marked their return to European action with another strong result as victory over Club Brugge sees them guaranteed to finish at the top of their group with a game to spare.
The fifth round of matches for Group G saw the Foxes take an early lead through Shinji Okazaki in the fifth minute before Riyad Mahrez slotted home his second penalty just around the half hour mark for the second straight match.
Okazaki’s opener was well set up thanks to Christian Fuchs and put the hosts on the front foot as they looked to guarantee their European advancement into the knockout stages.
A fun fact as well the Japanese striker is the sixth of his countrymen to score in Europe’s elite club competition and the first since Keisuke Honda in November three years ago in 2013 during his time with CSKA Moscow.

Ballon d’Or finalist Mahrez was on point from the spot against Watford in the club’s loss over the weekend and once again proved he was up to the task against the visiting Belgian side.
The second half saw Brugge pull one back through Jose Izquierdo at the 52nd minute that saw the last 40 minutes a bit of a nervy affair before the final whistle.
Leicester now have joined Arsenal as the second English team to book with place in the next round starting with the draw on December 12, 2016.
