Leicester City have struggled to impose themselves in many of their matches this season and again it is causing them to look to strengthen in the transfer market.

Having sold N’Golo Kante over the summer to Chelsea, Leicester City thought that they had adequately replaced the departed midfielder with the purchases of Nampalys Mendy and Daniel Amartey.

However, so far there has been no answer to fill the void that Kante left in the Foxes midfield.

Despite an impressive season so far from Danny Drinkwater, the 26-year-old Englishman needs a true partner in midfield that can help allow the side to control more games from the middle of the park.

More from Foxes of Leicester

According to reports from ESPN FC, the Foxes are believed to be in advanced talks with KRC Genk midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.

Although he is only 19-years-old, the Nigerian international is already attracting much interest from the English Premier League with Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham all believed to be following the progress of the player.

Leicester are believed to be set to offer £17 million for the youngster in hopes of beating the circling larger Premiership sides to Ndidi.

There is much belief that his rumor is truly legitimate as the Foxes summer transfer window proved that long term young signings are in their plan, and Ndidi certainly fits in the mold.

The real question is if the Foxes making a move for the youngster in January makes sense as he will likely be on international duty at the African Cup of Nations if called up for his country.
