Leicester City have had a tough run of results in the English Premier League and they will be hoping that their return to the King Power ends in a positive.

Leicester City failed to keep their home undefeated streak alive when they last hosted West Brom at home as they fell 1-2 to the visiting Baggies.

However, another positive midweek UEFA Champions League results will hopefully give the Foxes a boost against visiting promoted Middlesbrough.

Danny Drinkwater will be out for the hosts as he is suspended for the next three Premier League matches due to being charged with violent conduct towards Watford midfielder Valon Behrami following the club’s 2-1 loss at Vicarage Road last weekend.

More from Foxes of Leicester

Andy King and Daniel Amartey are expected to make their stand in midfield together and Middlesbrough could attempt to pick on the two players that have not logged many minutes together.

Kasper Schmeichel is still battling back to fitness and Ron-Robert Zieler is still expected to make a stand for the hosts in goal.

Riyad Mahrez could also be on the chopping block in the first team because of his poor form in the league and Jeffrey Schlupp and or Demarai Gray could make a rare start against Boro.

George Friend is still missing for the visitors and Fabio should retain his place in the first team for Aitor Karanka.

Alvaro Negredo is still battling to get back on the score sheet and if he has a good game could spell the spoiler for the hosts.

Projected Lineups

Leicester City (4-4-2): Zieler; Simpson, Morgan, Huth, Fuchs; Mahrez, King, Amartey, Albrighton; Vardy, Okazaki.

Middlesbrough (4-5-1): Valdes; Nsue, Chambers, Gibson, Fabio; Traore, Forshaw, Ramirez, Clayton, Downing; Negredo.
