Leicester City have failed to make the most of their opportunities to secure points this season and one star midfielder is worried of their plight.

Leicester City secured their UEFA Champions League knockout round place by securing a victory over Club Bruges on Tuesday and claimed top honors for Group G.

However, despite their rampant form in Europe’s elite competition, their English Premier League form has been just short of dreadful.

One concerned member of the first team, wide attacker Marc Albrighton, has voiced his belief that if his teammates and himself do not shape up soon, then the Foxes are certain to be dragged into a relegation battle:

However, despite his worries, Albrighton is remaining optimistic that his side will not be pushed in to a relegation fight, but he knows that it is certain to be a tough battle to remain out of that fight:

"“If we get a few bad results then, yes, we will be fighting a relegation battle, but if we pick up three or four wins on the spin we will be right up there and in the top half of the table, which we are more than capable of.Something is just not clicking at the minute but I think if we work hard and continue to play the way we do and train the way we do it will soon click together.”"

With their completion of securing their place in the next round of the Champions League, the Foxes can now focus on their six League matches in the month of December and use fringe players for their last Champions League match of that campaign in a fortnight.
