Leicester City shelled out a hefty fee to prize away young Polish international starlet Bartosz Kapustka this summer, but so far have been disappointed.

However, despite the impressive performances from him at the UEFA European Championship this summer earning him a hefty £7.5 million move to Leicester City, it appears that he has a long way to go.

Manager Claudio Ranieri has come out to admit that the young midfielder and winger is, “not ready,” for the Premier League according to the Telegraph.

John Percy is reporting that the player was never watched first hand by Leicester’s recruitment team and could have been signed based solely on his performance at the Euro’s last summer.

When asked about the player in a recent interview, Ranieri discussed that there is still a ways to go for the player:

"“Kapustka is a good player, getting better, but I don’t know when he will be ready to play in the Premier League. He is intelligent, he plays well, but he has to understand the Premier League is a battle in every ball.”"

At the moment the 19-year-old is the most expensive teenager in Polish history but he is facing a large amount of uncertainty over his career at the moment as the Foxes are certain to be pondering whether or not they struck out on this move.

Kapustka is expected to likely be sent out on-loan in January as he has only made one brief appearance for the first team since making the move this summer.

With his lack of current impact on the first team and the club’s fortunes a loan move seems the best for both club and player as he needs more experience with the English game according to Ranieri and the only way he is going to do that is through experience.
