Leicester City travel to the Britannia Stadium this afternoon to face Stoke as the foxes look to win their first three points on the road this season.

Our Prediction: Stoke City 1 – 1 Leicester City

Reasoning: Many Leicester City were hoping that their midweek trip down south to Bournemouth would be the start of their sides upturn in away form, instead they lost 1 – 0 after a positive first half and a disappointing second half.

Once again the foxes failed to keep a clean sheet as Pugh scored Eddie Howe’s sides only goal that night.

Questions once again have been raised of Claudio Ranieri’s insistence on sticking to a 4-4-2 formation which worked so well last season but has let him down completely as the foxes continue their poor away form, taking just 1 point from a potential 24, the joint lowest alongside Burnley.

Stoke themselves are not much better off, just 2 places ahead of Leicester in the table with 4 points on 20.

More from Foxes of Leicester

Their match was on Wednesday against Southampton at home as both sides failed to score.

Marco Arnautovic set a new record, most likely one Mark Hughes isn’t pleased with, after he found himself sent off after just 23 minutes – The fastest sending off in the Premier League this season.

Once Arnautovic went off, Stoke lost their cutting edge and were lucky that the Saints were unable to capitalise on their opportunity.

With the Austrian banned for this afternoon’s match, Leicester captain Wes Morgan and Robert Huth may find their lives a little easier although they will still have a tough game ahead of them.

With Kasper Schmeichel back, the majority of Leicester fans will be breathing a sigh of relief.

The Great Dane’s connection with Morgan and Huth was never more apparent than during his absence, it’s safe to say he was missed.

It’s still unlikely that Danny Drinkwater or Mendy will make an appearance as Claudio Ranieri does not want to risk the two key men ahead of the busy christmas schedule.

Should Leicester find their away form again and Stoke play to their best, the two sides will be fairly evenly matched as the Britannia Stadium is one of the toughest away grounds in the league.
