Leicester City host Everton at the King Power stadium this afternoon, can the foxes show the same resilience that they showed to Stoke?

Our Prediction: Leicester City 1 – 1 Everton

Reasoning: To say that Leicester are in form would be a lie, they are however on the back of their first point away from home this season and their home form is actually rather imrpessive with only one loss this season.

Due to the FA’s decision to keep Vardy’s ban in place, Leicester City are without their talisman striker so the question will be of his replacement.

More from Foxes of Leicester

Assuming Slimani is going to play as the target man, you would think that Ulloa will remain on the bench.

This leaves Okazaki or Musa – Two completely different players.

With Musa, he’s a like-for-like, slightly less prolific version of Jamie Vardy. Except maybe faster.

Okazaki as well all know is a work-horse, however his hounding of defenders will not be much use without a second striker running in behind the defence i.e. Vardy.

Should Ranieri go with his trusted Shinji Okazaki then his gameplan will have to change, long balls from Albrighton and Mahrez will have to be the priority as Slimani’s main strength is in the air.

Foxes fans will be glad to hear that their midfield leader Danny Drinkwater will be back in action this afternoon after recovering from an injury in the Champions League.

With both Fuchs and Huth out, Leicester’s defence is going to be tested. Lukaku is a threat in any match, especially without 2 of your starting back 4. Paired with the form that Ross Barkley is in, Amartey and Drinkwater will have to be on their toes to keep him in check and away from Morgan and Huth’s replacement (Likely to be Hernandez).

Both teams have goals in them, it’s going to be a case of who can score first and put the other team under pressure.

With Leicester’s spectacular home form and their record against Everton over the past decade, foxes fans will be hoping for a draw at worst.
