Leicester City were beaten 2-1 against Liverpool in the Premier League Asia Trophy final as Craig Shakespeare’s side failed to end their pre-season tour with some silverware.

The Foxes started the game in perfect fashion, taking the lead at the 12th minute-mark through Islam Slimani (yes, it was a header). However, Liverpool were quick to respond, and only eight minutes later, the Reds were on level terms courtesy of another headed goal, Mohamed Salah the man this time.

Despite growing back into the game soon after, Leicester City conceded right before half-time again to give Liverpool their winner as Phillipe Coutinho demonstrated exactly why FC Barcelona want him as a replacement for the Paris Saint-Germain bound Neymar Jr.
