There’s but a few days left before the Premier League, its vagaries and the debates begin, so it’s only fitting that we give it the kind of warm, cozy, heated welcome that it deserves.

We have all been guilty of trying to compile a list of the Premier League’s best players, and in doing so, the eventual result has only been a torn paper, a broken keyboard or just a jaded mind in need of a pint at the club down the road.

FanSided Soccer is guilty too, perhaps proudly so, as we released our first annual Premier League top 50 list. There are a number of factors that have been kept in mind, chiefly the player’s past performances, the talent that he is the worthy possessor of, how crucial he is to the team and what is to be expected of him.

Obviously, there will be a kerfuffle over the rankings of a few players, but that’s what the purpose is.

Among the privileged teams to have their players are Leicester City too, who have two players in the list. Here’s a look at who they are and what the FanSided staff has to say about them.
