The Best XI

Leicester City have an embarrassment of riches when it comes to striking and midfield options, so Craig Shakespeare would have to bring his A-game to the table if he is to come up with a balanced, potent, effective and resourceful XI. Here’s how it could look once everyone is fully fit:

Kasper Schmeichel; Danny Simpson, Wes Morgan, Harry Maguire, Christian Fuchs; Marc Albrighton, Vicente Iborra, Danny Drinkwater, Demarai Gray; Jamie Vardy, Kelechi Iheanacho.

Predicted Finish

For all of Leicester City’s ability to achieve the impossible, their aim of a spot in either the UEFA Champions League or the Europa League has an air of far-fetchedness to it. They have a decent squad that remains capable of beating any side on its day, but to be able to do that week in and week out is utterly onerous, and even that is an understatement.

If Shakey can get his side to earn the odd wins or a few draws against the top six, then a 10th place finish shouldn’t be out of reach.

Final prediction: 10th.
