The Premier League got off to the most enthralling start possible as Leicester City ended up on the wrong side of a truly magnificent encounter.

Here are the three things we learned from the Foxes’ 4-3 defeat at The Emirates Stadium:

Jamie Vardy is in the mood

Jamie Vardy was off and running for the season with as good a brace as he has bagged for Leicester City all this time. The 30-year old did exactly what was expected of him against a big side, reassuring the fans of his ability to keep going.

Even if you take the goals out of the equation, Vardy’s overall display had obvious signs of a striker who’s fully fit and on the top of his game. The nerves now settled, the first goals scored, Jamie Vardy can look forward to another goalscoring party with City.
