Manchester United 2-0 Leicester City: Five things we learned

Leicester City endured their second defeat in three Premier League games as Manchester United beat them 2-0 to extend their early advantage at the top the table. Here’s what we learned from a bravely fought battle at Old Trafford:

Kasper Schmeichel: World Class

But for Kasper Schmeichel, it may well have been a humiliating defeat. The Danish rolled back the years of his father Peter Schmeichel at Old Trafford, producing a fine save early on from Juan Mata, and saving a Romelu Lukaku penalty later on, diving full stretch to his right.

Leicester City have never really needed a reminder of his abilities, but if they did, today served a fine example of what he is capable of doing against the bigger and better sides.
