The summer transfer window is finally over and with it, the daily kerfuffle over a transfer rumour, the excitement around the fanbase and the constant moaning among the club faithful. It’s not just a transfer window, it’s your team’s season defined in the space of months – arguably.

Leicester City may have defined their 2017/18 season too, as Craig Shakespeare ensured that the King Power Stadium wasn’t devoid of the business-related festivities. The Foxes were one of the busiest sides in the top division, signing as many as six players to give the squad some much needed make-up.

However, as is often said, it’s the quality, not the quantity. Leicester were equally as active in the market last summer, but ended up making a complete mess of their dealings and none of the new arrivals made any impact whatsoever – you could see it coming.
