Leicester City endured their third defeat of the Premier League season, once again ending up just short despite another spirited display against a title contender. Here’s what we learned from their 1-2 defeat to Chelsea:

Good but not good enough

Leicester City lost 4-3 to Arsenal, 2-0 to Manchester United after 70 minutes of resilience and 1-2 against Chelsea today. If the results are anything to go by, then the Foxes are obviously good, but just not good enough to be able to grind out positive results.

We did say at the start of the season that they needed another centre-back and a midfielder more, though Craig Shakespeare left it too late to make his move. There’s a growing fear that it could be a long, hard campaign for Leicester City.
