Leicester City face Huddersfield Town on Saturday as they look to resurrect their Premier League campaign after three defeats in four games so far. Here’s all you need to know ahead of the all-important fixture:
Kick-off time: 3 p.m.
Venue: John Smith’s Stadium
Which TV Channel is it on: No coverage.
Referee: Jon Moss
Team News:
Leicester City
Leicester City haven’t had just the on-field misfortunes to deal with but their list of casualties as well, something that has arguably had a direct impact on their league campaign. Craig Shakespeare has had to deal with injuries to Danny Drinkwater, Robert Huth and new signings Vicente Iborra and Kelechi Iheanacho, all four being key players.
While Danny Drinkwater is now gone, Huth, Iborra and Iheanacho are all fit, meaning they could play for Leicester City later this week. The trio featured for the U-23s on Monday, with Vicente Iborra and Kelechi Iheanacho getting on the scoresheet as well.
The only question facing Shakespeare is: How does he fit the new signings in, and what about Robert Huth?
Huddersfield Town
Huddersfield Town are loving life in the Premier League despite their defeat to West Ham United on Monday, but even they aren’t short of injuries. The Terriers will be without as many as three players when they meet Leicester City on matchday five.
Jon Gorenc Stankovic is still out injured because of a damaged cruciate ligament, while both Martin Crainie (hip injury) and Jonathon Hogg (ankle injury) are set to warm the bench too.
