Penalties and Jamie Vardy won’t save the blushes every time

A penalty and Jamie Vardy saved Leicester City from a 2-0 embarrassment against Chelsea, and it was the same duo that spared the blushes for them at the John Smith’s Stadium. Vardy apart, not many players in the squad are currently looking like they can score a goal, so there’s a definite problem, especially when three of your record signings are all strikers.

If Craig Shakespeare’s side want to change their current state, surely, more players have to get their shooting boots on, find their range tuner and find the back of the net more often, at least in games against an inferior opposition. Remember, Jamie Vardy is never too far away from a drought himself.
