Leicester City sank to a new low as their winless run in the Premier League extended to four games courtesy of another shambolic showing at the back. Here’s what we learned from the Foxes’ 2-3 defeat to Liverpool at the King Power Stadium:

Where is Riyad Mahrez?

Having started the season in some style, everyone expected Riyad Mahrez to play a big part for Leicester City as he did in the title-winning campaign. As it turns out, however, it’s hard to tell if Mahrez is playing at all.

The Algerian is super-talented – there’s no doubting that – but when you’re not making much of an impact up front and then not tracking back either, then it’s 11 against 10. Indeed, it was the Foxes who felt like a man down.

Leicester are already in deep trouble, and if Mahrez doesn’t improve any time soon, then his time may as well be shorter than expected at the King Power Stadium.
