After an impressive start as Leicester City manager, beating Everton 2-0, Claude Puel now has a tough fixture against Stoke City with several decisions to make.

Leicester took Everton apart with a superb first-half performance, but there were elements to the game where Puel will look to improve on.

Here are the three key decisions Puel will be weighing up ahead of the trip to the Bet365 Stadium:

Ben Chilwell or Christian Fuchs?

Claude Puel opted to field both Ben Chilwell and Christian Fuchs against Everton, and it provided mixed results.

Fuchs was retained in his familiar left-back role, while Chilwell operated ahead of him as a winger. Neither of them looked particularly comfortable, especially the Austrian in the first-half, who could have given away a penalty and gave up a good chance as Aaron Lennon got the wrong side of him.

The second half looked better, as Lennon was subbed off but also because Chilwell could play as a second left-back since the Foxes were 2-0 up and coasting to victory. However, Stoke City will cause a bigger threat down that flank than Everton, and these issues have to be ironed out.

Xherdan Shaqiri will likely be deployed on that flank, and Puel could opt to use Fuchs and Chilwell again to offer more protection against the Potters’ danger man; however with the pair’s unconvincing performance against Everton, Puel could go for familiarity and restore Marc Albrighton to the starting line-up.

The Englishman is a good defender himself and is more familiar with the left-midfield role.
