The young man, who signed from Birmingham for £3.7 million in 2016, has stepped up when called upon. He has performed well  in a new look Leicester City formation guided by the newly appointed manager Claude Puel. He has scored one and  helped produce another with a phenomenal run on Sunday.

Opportunities to utilise his talents will now almost certainly increase as the new manager is keen on promoting youth.

His Everton performance earned him all the plaudits, including the Man of the Match award and the gratitude of the Leicester City supporters.

It hasn’t always been this great for Gray, his chances under Ranieri were understandably limited.

In the 2016 title winning season, aged 19, Gray made ten substitute appearances.. He has shown that he has all the assets to be a top players. He has a good first-touch, the unpredictability to take-on a man and the pace to run at defences.
