It was all square at the end of the 90 minutes as Leicester City managed to earn a point against Stoke City to enter the top-half of the Premier league table. Here’s what we learned from the Foxes’ 2-2 stalemate at the King Power Stadium:

Riyad Mahrez back to being Leicester City’s main man

Riyad Mahrez’s third goal of the Premier League season failed to have any real impact on the result of the game, but it restored the Algerian’s status as Leicester City’s main man. The 26-year old has now had a hand in four league goals in as many games, as compared to the four that he had contributed before that.

Leicester City are far from a side that rely upon him, but there’s a feeling that without Riyad Mahrez, there really isn’t much to choose from when it’s creative player that we are talking about. With January drawing ever so closer, and with it, Mahrez’s premium best, it’s time for City to start thinking about how to tie him down.
