Jamie Vardy has said that “it has been good” under Claude Puel so far and that he hopes to get better under the Frenchman at Leicester City.

The Foxes sacked Craig Shakespeare earlier in October after he failed to get the desired results, managing only a place among the relegation scrap during his short tenure as Leicester’s permanent manager.

Although the Englishman had a considerably tough fixture list to deal with, facing Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool inside the first ten games, his lack of inventiveness with the team cost him heavily.

Shakespeare now gone, Leicester City are a breath of fresh air again, with Claude Puel not necessarily ringing the changes but doing just about enough to suggest that the East Midlands side will be fine under him.

The City players feel much the same way, and Jamie Vardy is no exception. The England international has been one of the side’s top performers this seasonn – netting six times in11 games – and unsurprisingly remains a key part of Puel’s plans too.

Currently on international duty with England ahead of the Three Lions’ friendly against Brazil at the Wembley Stadium, the 30-year old spoke of his new Foxes boss, stressing on the fact that he is happy with how things are at the King Power Stadium. He said:

"“It has been good. He hasn’t changed too much but he has said he wants to change a few things, coming up in the future after the international break, but he says they will only be little things.“They are things he says will make us better, so we are looking forward to it.“I think it is one of those things in football. No one is ever safe, especially in the managerial positions.“Managers come and go and, as players, you get used to that. It is part of football.“It is a results industry and the owners made the decision.“The new manager has come in and four points from two games is a good start.”"

Jamie Vardy also talked about his Leicester City teammate Harry Maguire, who he thinks has got everything in him to succeed at the highest level.

"“You wouldn’t think it from looking at him, but especially on the ball he is great.“He has got everything but you wouldn’t think it from looking at him.“He is a great lad to have as well in the Leicester dressing room and the England dressing room.”"

The 24-year old has made two appearances for England so far and is expected to be in the XI for tomorrow’s game against Brazil.
