Leicester City gave it their all but failed to put a break to the Manchester City express as Pep Guardiola’s side ran clear winners at the King Power Stadium. Here’s what we learned from the Foxes’ 0-2 defeat to the league leaders:

Leicester City’s showing may have proved enough against another side

Leicester City weren’t too bad, were they? The movement of the ball and the passing was as good as we’ve seen so far this season, the defending wasn’t too bad, and the chances were there to be taken as well. Overall, it was a decent showing worthy of at least a point against any other team in the division.

If Claude Puel’s side can maintain the same standard as they did for the better part of the first half, there’s no doubting the fact that they’ll do fine. This isn’t a defeat to be too much affected by, since Manchester City are quite easily the best side in Europe, not just England right now.
