Jamie Vardy – Rating 7

Looked to get going out-wide form the get go. He makes good progress from a wider position when outnumbered centrally. Provided the assist for Albrighton’s goal.

Always looked a threat and constantly looked to get in behind the slower Pablo Zabaleta and Winston  Reid.

Kept the intensity up all game yet felt a bit isolated. West Ham purposefully outnumbered him while playing an impressive restrained defensive line.

SUBSTITUTES:

Chilwell – Rating 6.5

Immediately had to help out Fuchs defensively while playing in front of him. There wasn’t too much chance for Chilwell to get forward to impress as he has done in his new role.

He was bought on to give an added sense of security. When he could run forward his pace unnerved the Hammer’s defence. No complaints with performance. The Leicester supporters will want to see more from the young man when his deserving chances materialise.

Slimani – Rating 6

Introduced with four minutes to go. Didn’t see the ball. Made a foul enabling West Ham to throw the ball into the danger zone that was his only contribution.
