A fine win for the Foxes against a strong Tottenham team. We take a look at each individual performance on what was a night to remember for Leicester City.

Wonder strikes from Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez ensured the hosts the points and means the Foxes have only lost once in their last five.

Kasper Schmeichel – 7

The Danish number one almost gifted a goal to Spurs with lax play early on.  He followed this with a flat kick which was luckily  cleared before it could be capitalised on.

Schmeichel also made two impressive saves from close range keeping his side ahead. He seemed more assured as the game progressed having produced a good save from Harry Kane in the second-half.

Questions remain surrounding his distribution and work needs to be applied in training saying this, a solid performance by the 31-year-old and could not help prevent Kane’s goal.

Defenders

Danny Simpson 7.5

The right-back was under pressure from Danny Rose and really seemingly struggled with his pace. He should have got closer to block at least three crosses in the first half.

Simpson has adopted to Puel’s passing style much better in recent games. Unfortunately due to Mahrez’s return to right-wing, he will be more under threat from marauding attackers.

However, he made some very important headed clearances after seemingly being injured. He is becoming a consistent performer for Claude Puel’s side.

Wes Morgan – 7.5

The 33-year-old is looking fitter and more accomplished with Maguire at his side especially since Robert Huth’s absence. This was again evident tonight, whether it be his calmness  or the courage to block a point blank shot.

His passes out to feet looking to keep possession while moving forward was impressive throughout and showed great character to marshal his teammates, communicating throughout.

Harry Maguire – 8

Held the line well at the start with Morgan. Again Maguire was playing the ball out with ease and with measured capability.

Maguire is proving to be the first name on the team-sheet and with performances like these, rightly so. The only criticism that can be laid upon Maguire was his lapse of concentration while marking Kane, he allowed the striker a sight on goal, a costly mistake.

Ben Chilwell – 8.5

Made two fantastic runs from defence early on, he set up play and always  looked to take on his man on the attack.

Had a tough, fast, experienced opponent in Serge Aurier yet dealt with him fairly well. He looked very stable while defending not to mention dangerous in attack and at the tender age of 20, he looks to have attained the balance between attacking and defending exceptionally well.

Excellent in all areas. Only one mistake through communication with his goalkeeper, this will improve with more appearances.
