Vicente Iborra – 8

Solid and composed in yet another match. The Spurs midfield were second best to the Spaniard. His fitness has improved, he is not tiring while getting forward as often.

Very impressive apart from switching off momentarily for their goal, although many others can be fault.Having said this he also made several headed clearances too.

Wilfred Ndidi – 7.5

The Nigerian was making tackles from the beginning and rarely put a pass astray. Occasionally he lets an opponent  past too easily and can be known to make rash challenges.

The Spurs midfield could not deal with him nor Iborra for most of the match. He was chasing the game late on, with not much chance of stopping the Tottenham onslaught. Effort never a question.

Riyad Mahrez – 7

Much of the play going forward was on the left hand side of the pitch. Marc Albrighton featured more heavily, linking up with Jamie Vardy successfully.

When called upon he showed us a glimpse of his PFA player of the year talents. The Algerian cut in beating Rose and curled a beautiful effort into the top corner.

Again he seemed fairly quiet for the latter period of the game and was withdrawn on 76 minutes. He seemed to have the spring in his step we have so often missed. The ability to take on a man and beating him to create a crossing opportunity.  Although his focus appears to come in bursts and needs to demand for the ball more if he to be truly effective

Marc Albrighton – 8

The man from Birmingham looked in fine form from minute one. He made accurate passes, crosses and through balls.

He assisted the Vardy wonder-goal while constantly giving Aurier far too much to handle for long periods. Backing up the impressive Chilwell, he defended superbly.

Has to be more careful with possession while deep, as Spurs were pushing for the goal late on and he almost put Leicester in trouble.
