Leicester City triumphed late on thanks to an Ayoze Perez own goal in a game that saw them extend their match winning run to three.

Newcastle striker Joselu had opened the scoring early before Riyad Mahrez and Demarai Gray fired the Foxes ahead. .

Frontman Dwight Gayle then put the home side level with a close range finish. A goal that was short-lived due to Perez turning into his own net following a scramble with Leicester City man Shinji Okazaki.

The win takes Claude Puel’s men to 8th, a mere five points off seventh place Burnley, but what exactly did we learn?
