They passed the test

The Foxes have shown they have the fight and spirit needed to overcome early disappointment. The only other time Leicester have gone behind under Puel this season was in the 2-0 loss to Manchester City last month.

Leading to the question whether his squad had the mentality needed to mount a comeback once being succumbed to a goal deficit.

However, the Newcastle game highlighted their dogged determination to get back into the game and not just standing content with levelling the scores, but going one further.

They have a new sense of faith in their manager which has not been evident since the initial arrival of Shakespeare one year ago.

Take the Newcastle game, there was an injury stoppage which saw Puel give instructions to Danny Simpson and Jamie Vardy.

Within minutes after the conversation, Gray had put the visitors ahead which ended with Simpson turning to his manager in disbelief as though to admit his gaffer was right.

The reconcile was greeted with uncertainty by Puel as he briefly shrugged both shoulders.

While the reasons remain unclear, one thing remains sure, the journey that we are being taken through by Puel and his team is not one for the faint-hearted.

He has imposed his philosophy onto his players with such clarity that they can now carry out the plan A, plan B and C.

Expect the avalanche of goals to continue and the we will score more than you attitude to bring many a thriller in matches to come.
