Leicester City stormed to a fourth consecutive Premier League victory as Claude Puel’s second coming to the St. Mary’s Stadium resulted in yet more agony for the Southampton fans. Here’s what we learned from the Foxes’ 4-1 win:

Claude Puel not afraid to rotate

When Leicester City announced their starting XI, there was an outcry like no other from a majority of the fans who expressed their disapproval at Puel’s decision to start Andy King, Shinji Okazaki and Christian Fuchs.

However, the mood changed shortly after as Leicester tore into the home side, with both Okazaki (brace) and King getting on the scoresheet. The Frenchman could have easily gone with his settled side, but the fact that he chose to rest three of his most important players of late shows just how much faith does he have in the others as well.

Speaking after the match, he further defended his selection:

"“It was important to make some changes because it’s a busy period, so it was important to see some fresh players”."
