Rumours surrounding Riyad Mahrez’s future have continued to circulate since August last summer and four months on, we are still none the wiser as to where the Algerian wants to play his football.

Following a dismal start to his campaign, Mahrez’s performances have picked up in recent times especially since  Claude Puel was unveiled manager.

He has scored four in Puel’s first nine games in charge while playing a hand in a further three.

However, many believe the 26-year-old has become good just in time for the January transfer window having tried to prompt a move at the beginning of the season.

The forward was allowed to leave his Algeria camp on August’s transfer deadline day to apparently fly to Paris with a possible offer from Barcelona on the cards.

Yet no formal bid materialised and the transfer window ended with the France-born player contracted to Leicester City.

Four months on, despite Puel claiming he will seduce players to stay, we are still in the unknown.

So if what looks to be inevitable and Mahrez does leave, who can the Foxes bring in to replace him. Here are five players who fit the bill perfectly.
