Leicester City played out a classic Christmas thriller, snaffling a point right at the death to avoid a third straight defeat. Here’s what we learned from the Foxes’ 2-2 draw against Manchester United:

Jamie Vardy likes a big game

Jamie Vardy shares a special bond with big games, and Saturday night was no exception. The Englishman gave Leicester City the lead at the King Power Stadium with a typical Jamie Vardy goal – his 50th in top flight – which means that he has now scored against five of the current top six this season, with Manchester City the only top side he didn’t find the back of the net against.

The 30-year old also has the most goals against the big six than any other striker since 2014, netting 21 times in the period. Now that’s a record to be proud of.
