How good (and important) is Marc Albrighton?

In a first-half that didn’t have much until Riyad Mahrez broke the deadlock, it was Marc Albrighton who stood out with the kind of work rate that is so typical of him. The 28-year old capped off an excellent first-half by assisting Mahrez’s goal, and in some style. Albrighton carried on in the same fashion for the rest of the game, though it’s a shame that most of the players didn’t match his level of energy.

The ebullient midfielder is probably the most important player at Leicester City, but just like Shinji Okazaki, his contribution often goes unnoticed. Take him out of the XI and see how the Foxes fare in the middle of the park.
