Liverpool 2-1 Leicester City: Player Ratings
By James Lassey
Leicester City manager Claude Puel becomes the latest victim to be on the receiving end of a Mohamed Salah masterclass.
His second-half brace overshadowed Jamie Vardy’s seventh Premier League goal over Liverpool and the loss makes it four defeats from the last five for Puel.
But just how well did you grade Leicester’s performance? Here are the ratings..
Goalkeeper
Kasper Schemeichel – 7/10
Came to the Foxes rescue on numerous occasions during Liverpool’s relentless onslaught on his goal.
Nothing he could do to prevent Salah’s second.
Defenders
Daniel Amartey -8/10
A sterling performance from the make shift right-back, dealt with the threat of Andy Robertson considerably well and looked solid defensively.
Harry Maguire – 6/10
Was there to head every other cross pumped into his box however his good display is overshadowed by the yellow card he received during the celebrations of Liverpool’s first goal.
He found himself in a tussle in the net with Emre Can as the duo fought for the ball. Maguire will now miss Leicester’s New Year’s Day fixture against Huddersfield.
